Tigers Eye is pretty cool! It is a Chatoyant Gemstone.

Chatoyancy (Cat’s Eye Effect) is shown as a band of light caused by reflection from parallel groups of fibres, Crystals or channels that have grown within the Stone. These inclusions are packed side by side in a neat compact formation.

Tigers Eye is the best-known of Chatoyant Gemstones. The Chatoyancy in Tigers Eye is caused by channels of parallel fibres of Quartz, resulting in a beautiful lustrous sheen.

Chatoyant Gemstones are usually cut as Cabochons, Beads or Collectables, which show off the Chatoyant effect. However, it is not just as simple as cutting and polishing the Stone. It takes great skill and craftsmanship to ensure the quality of the carving shows off the stunning sheen.

Tigers Eye is a phenomenal Gemstone that abounds in healing qualities and spiritual energies. It’s an all-around powerhouse.
