Howlite Gemmology Facts: 

Howlite was discovered in Candia in 1868. Howlite gets its name from a Canadian chemist, Gemmologist and Mineralogist, Henry How. It is a Borate Mineral.

Howlite’s nodule formation resembles the heads of cauliflower. This beautiful Gem has a marble-like appearance and is threaded with veins running throughout the Stone. The veins are usually hues of white, grey or black and form web-like patterns.

Howlite has many healing properties that soothe the body, mind, and spirit. Above all, it is an incredibly calming Stone, always ready to slow the heartbeat, cool calamitous tempers, and show you the path of wisdom. Its gentle vibration connects and flows, raising your awareness and providing clarity. Its pale colouring and calming nature pair well with the more intense Crystals.

Psychologically Howlite can calm unstable emotions, particularly those caused by traumatic events. It will help reduce feelings of stress and absorb any anger directed at yourself or others.

What Chakra does Howlite open?

These little Acorns are perfect for carrying in your pocket for Crystal Healing on the go or pop under your pillow for a pure and protected sleep. Crystals are not “magic pills” that will fix all your problems by just having them near. You need to interact and programme your Gems to work for you.
