Black Veined Jasper is also known as Spider Web Jasper. It is a beautiful white Gemstone with black linear patterns that resembles a spider’s web. This Gem really does grab your attention!

Jasper is a variety of Quartz that contains an element of other materials/inclusions, such as organic material and Mineral material. These inclusions determine the colours, patterns, and appearance of the Gemstone. When you look at any type of Jasper, it is usually multicoloured with curious patterns. Jasper can be cut into many shapes and can be cut very thinly, and what we love about it as jewellery makers is how highly polished Jasper can be. Most Jaspers have the same Gemmological characteristics and have different trade names that enable us to identify the type of Jasper. They are largely spotted/orbicular or banded/striped.

There is virtually nowhere on Earth you cannot find Jasper. It is found on every continent, but the most visited deposits are in India, Russia, Egypt and the southwestern United States of America.
