Beryl GEMMOLOGY FACTS:

Beryl is a family of Gemstones with many varieties of coloured Gems, including some of the world’s favourite Gemstones for Jewellery Designs and Making. The most popular have to be Emerald and Aquamarine. The Beryl family also include:

• Morganite
• Heliodor
• Goshenite

To name a few. The Gemstones within the Beryl family are allochromatic Gems. This means they are coloured by inclusion within the Gems structure. The opposite to this is idiochromatic Gems, where the colouring agent is integral to the structure of the Gem – Peridot is an idiochromatic Gemstone.

 CRYSTAL HEALING PROPERTIES: What is Beryl good for?

Beryl is generally associated with the Crown & Solar Plexus Chakras. Depending on the Gemstones used in this Multi-Beryl Strand, such as Aquamarine, Heliodor or Morganite, these Beads could be used for their quite specific healing qualities.

Aquamarine: Part of the Beryl family of gemstones, Aquamarine has much to offer in addition to its gorgeous blueness! Bringing calm & compassion, this Gemstone is all about awareness, both spiritually and of oneself, in its ability to help reveal home truths. A Gemstone of communication, Aquamarine has been used throughout the ages as a communication tool, which also helps with study and learning. Connected with the intellect, Aquamarine is one of those Gemstones that gets things done and makes things happen!

Heliodor: This gentle energy Crystal is perfect for helping with mental balance and is generally used in practice if you feel mentally adrift or your thoughts are all over the place. As a yellow Gemstone, Heliodor is associated with the Solar Plexus, where humour and laughter reside. Perhaps introduce some Heliodor into your Chakra work to help unblock a little more fun. A communication Gemstone, Heliodor also helps with the ability to communicate and worn as a bracelet; this could bring confidence (that Solar Plexus again!) when needing to converse or share more relaxedly.

Pink Morganite: We love Morganite at Chalmers Gems. We love everything to do with love and the heart, so Morganite is a firm favourite!
