Rutile is a titanium oxide mineral. It is commonly found as tiny long thin needle-like inclusions within other Gemstones. Rutile inclusion can be black, gold, red, silver, or rare Gems have green rutile.

A long time ago, the Rutile Crystal grew in beautiful needle-like fibres. Rutile Quartz is formed when the conditions change, creating a hydrothermal process.

This is where high temperatures cool and the pressure eases. The Quartz grows around this miracle mineral encapsulating the Rutile and trapping it inside, creating this pretty Gemstone.
