Red Jasper Gemmology Facts:

Fascinatingly, Red Jasper comprises loads of tiny, miniature Crystals that are packed together and interlock to create this original and unique Gemstone.

Used since the Stone Age, it is a go-to Gemstone for ornate Jewellery and is often carved and polished into individual adornments.

Red Jasper measures 6.5 – 7 on the Mohs Scale of hardness. The colour of Red Jasper ranges from bright red to brownish red.

Jasper appears in many colours, including blue, red, green, yellow, black, or even the distinctive green-and-red speckled variety known as Bloodstone.

There is virtually nowhere on Earth you cannot find Jasper.

It is found on every continent, but the most visited deposits are in India, Russia, Egypt and the southwestern United States of America.
