Peridot is a green Gemstone that varies in olive green to yellowish-green shades. It is also known as Chrysolite and Olivine. It is found in the United States, Brazil, Ireland, Egypt, Sri Lanka and the Canary Islands.

This is an idiochromatic Gem – this means that the colouring of the Gem is not due to impurities, but the colouring element is essential to the Gemstone’s structure. Peridot’s vibrant green colour comes from iron.
