HACKMANITE GEMMOLOGY FACTS:

Hackmanite is the name given to Sodalites natural form and has unique fluorescent properties, as seen in the images provided. 

This Gem can be found in Afghanistan and Burma. However, different ions within this Stone can cause this Gem to react differently. 

Burma Hackmanite tends to have a light grey, purple, light pink and light blue colouring. Hackmanite from Burma is usually opaque but can also be translucent when it’s at its best. 

On the other hand, Hackmanite from Afghanistan is less common. This type of Hackmanite is either colourless to a light pink or light violet colour. 

When in the presence of UV light, Afghan Hackmanite will begin to darken to a light to medium violet colouring. The colour change will happen in a time frame of around 3-5 minutes. 

Burmese Hackmanite reacts slightly differently. It will darken to a more intense, darker violet colour in a matter of seconds. 

This Crystal has a hardness of 5 – 6 on the Moh scale.

Once you have repeated your intention ten times, place your Crystal on your Third Eye Chakra. This will allow you to visualise yourself living out your intentions.
