Goldstone is a beautiful man-made coloured material with glittery and highly reflective inclusions. These inclusions are a bright metallic lustre. Their sparkle really catches your eye.

The sparkly appearance of Goldstone is created through a process that involves heating molten glass and then, when hot, dissolving small granules of copper oxide into the melt. Once all the small pieces of copper oxide have dissolved, the melt is then cooled, but very slowly. The slower the cooling period, the larger the Copper crystal inclusions.

Goldstone is a very popular man-made material and is commonly used as a sculptural material or as a Gem. Goldstone is commonly transformed into Cabochons, Beads, Spheres and small Sculptures.
