Mojave Green Turquoise is a manmade material made from Copper and Turquoise. A composite material, Mojave, is an extraordinary Gemstone as Mojave Turquoise Green is crafted through a hydraulic press process that combines the dyed Gemstone material and (in this case) a copper metal matrix to form this composite Gem.

Mojave Green Turquoise is the birthstone for December.

Turquoise is a Phosphate Mineral that can only be found in limited places worldwide. These stunning Gemstones form in dry and infertile regions where acidic, copper-rich water seeps down into the ground and reacts with Minerals containing aluminium and phosphorus.

This sedimentary process results in porous, semi-translucent to opaque compounds of aluminium phosphate and hydrated cooper. Its bright blue colour comes from copper, whilst the deep green shades come from chrome and iron.
