Tumble Stones are small, spherical, and brightly polished Crystal, Gemstone and Mineral fragments. They are created by placing rough stones in a rock tumbler, which tumbles them until their edges and surfaces are smooth and polished.

Jasper is a variety of Quartz which contains an element of other materials/inclusions, such as organic material and mineral material & it is these inclusions that determine the colours, patterns, and appearance within the Gemstone.

When you look at any type of Jasper, it is usually multicoloured with curious patterns. Jasper can be cut into many shapes and can be cut very thinly. What we love about it as Jewellery Makers is how highly polished Jasper can be.

Most Jaspers have the same geological characteristics and different trade names, enabling us to identify the type of Jasper. They are largely spotted/orbicular or banded/striped.

Bumblebee Jasper is the natural birthstone for anyone that is born during the summer months. This ranges from June all the way through to the beginning of September. This links to the yellow tones within the Stone, representing new beginnings and high optimism.

Then place one in each palm, close your eyes and tune your breathing into the patterns on each, following the shapes in your mind as you take your breathing in and out – switching from palm to palm in your mind after a few rotations of the patterns on each Stone.

(When you change hands, try taking the energy up the arm and across the shoulders and neck and down the other side – nice and slowly!)
