Asteroid Jasper is a rare form of Jasper found exclusively on the shorelines of Madagascar. They do not actually come from outer space! Their name is entirely because of their appearance!

Jasper, of all forms, is an aggregate micro-granular Quartz or cryptocrystalline chalcedony and even other minerals.

As an opaque Gemstone, it’s an impure type of silica that can come in many colours and patterns – largely depending on the minerals that make their way (via wind or rain) into the original Quartz during its making within Mother Earth.

Used since the stone age, Jaspers have been used as Gemstones to accentuate Jewellery and is often carved and polished into individual adornments.
