APATITE GEMMOLOGY FACTS:

Apatite varies in colour from yellow to green, with Blue Apatite being the most common form.

In Gemmology, we use the Mohs Scale of Hardness to characterise the hardness of Gems. The scale is 1 to 10, with 1 being the softest and 10 the hardest. Each number/step on the scale has a mineral associated with it.

This is the Mineral for Mohs hardness level 5. We recommend this Gemstone for making ornamental pieces such as Tree of Lifes, or if you’d prefer to create Jewellery, earrings or necklaces are best due to their relatively soft Gem.
