Ruby in Kyanite Gemmology Facts: 

This remarkable Gemstone is where Ruby grows, and then Kyanite grows around the Ruby Crystals. The deposit of Ruby in Kyanite is found in Southern India, the same location as Ruby in Fuchsite.

This is a stunning natural combination of colours and Gemstones. It is a beautifully unusual pairing of materials,  Kyanite being a relatively soft Gemstone with a directional hardness of 4-7 on the Mohs scale. Whereas Ruby is the second hardest material on the Hardness scale. How brilliant nature is?!

Ruby is an awesome Gem and a favourite amongst Gemmologist, Collectors, Designers and the general public! It is a Corundum Gem which is in the same family as Sapphire. Rubies naturally fluoresce under ultraviolet (UV) light!
