ROSE QUARTZ GEMMOLOGY FACTS: 

Rose Quartz is the name given to the pink variety of the mineral Quartz. It is a common Gemstone and is found in large quantities around the world. It is commonly found in massive hydrothermal veins.

The deepest of the pink colour varies depending on the level of the microscopical inclusions of dumortierite within the Quartz.

When Rose Quartz contains small yet well-organised inclusions, it may show an asterism. Asterism is an optical phenomenon caused by the light interacting with the parallel fibre inclusions within the Gemstone. You may hear these Gemstones being called a “Star Stone”.

Rose Quartz can be cut into Collectable Carvings, Beads and Cabochons. There isn’t much it can’t be used for.
