UNAKITE GEMMOLOGY FACTS:

Unakite is a metamorphic rock and is composed of Pink Orthoclase and Green Epidote with the presence of colourless to milky Quartz. This Gemstone measures a 6 to 7 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness.

This was first discovered in the United States during the late 1800s. This Gem gets its name from the Unaka Mountains of Tennessee; this is where the Stone was first found.

The word Unakite comes from Greek and is broken down as “ground” and “to rise up”.

CRYSTAL HEALING PROPERTIES: WHAT IS UNAKITE GOOD FOR?

One of the key uses of Unakite in practice is with empaths who often feel overwhelmed with their, or indeed the world, events.

Sometimes full of sadness, these experiences can overwhelm empaths, and using this Crystal offers very supportive energy and is a beautiful tool in these scenarios.

Whether in the near or distant past, Unakite is also great at reaching the root cause of emotional upset and helps to bring it to the surface for transformation.

WHAT CHAKRA DOES UNAKITE OPEN?

Formed from a combination of Green Epidote and Red Feldspar, Unakite is a blended heart tonic as it converges with both Heart Chakra colours.

Unakite is a vision Gemstone which helps open the Third Eye Chakra and balance our emotions with spirituality. The Third Eye Chakra is located at the forehead between the eyebrows. It is your emotional centre which connects the Heart and mind.
