Our lovely Charoite Chip Strands are 38cm in length and each bead measures approximately 4-9mm. Each bead has a 0.6mm drill hole and offers enough beads to make several pieces of jewellery. 

GEMMOLOGY FACTS:

Charoite is a Gemstone that is usually violet, lilac or lavender in appearance. The tone of the purple can vary. You may even hear Charoite being referred to as “Lilac Stone” or “Charoite Jade”. Within the Gem, it is not uncommon to find swirling patterns of black, white and grey. In our opinion, this makes Charoite even more stunning.

Charoite was first discovered in the 1940s in Russia along the River Chara. Within the Russian language, “chary” means magic or charms. Very apt for this spellbinding Gemstone.
