Sapphires, like the equally valuable Rubies, are from a variety of Mineral called Corundum. Sapphires are the colourful side of the Corundum whilst Rubies are the red side of the family. These beautiful Gemstones come in a variety of colours such as blue, orange, purple, yellow, pink, and even green. Many are exhibited here on this Strand.
