Palm Root is the fossilised form of the Indonesian palm’s root system. The petrification process, also known as the agitation process, occurred over millions of years and under great pressure in the Palm Root, in which each carbon atom was gradually replaced with a silicon atom. This produces stunning intersecting swirls and colours, as well as translucent sections of individual Palm Root specimens that show the depth and perspective of each piece.
