Lapis Lazuli Smooth Rondelle Beads Approx 6 x 4mm 38cm Strand

A lot of the Lapis Lazuli in the marketplace is dyed and sometimes not Lapis at all! It could be Howlite masquerading as the more superior gemstone, but our Lapis Lazuli is 100% natural and authentic and that’s what you get when the Head Buyer is a fully qualified gemmologist – she can spot a fake a million miles away!

Our deep blue lovely Natural Lapis Lazuli Smooth Rondelles come on a strand of 38cm and are approximately 6x4mm per rondelle with a drill hole of 0.6mm. These would look stunning on a bracelet just on their own or spaced with some quartz or silver spacers. Perhaps even a black contrasting gemstone would look amazing as the shiny pyrite crystals bounce the light around?

These particular Rondelles have a lovely polish and are nice and uniform in size which is what you need, as a maker, particularly if you use these types of beads in matching sets or repeatable designs.

Lapis Lazuli has the inclusion Iron Pyrites inside, which we will know better as Pyrite, and we all know Pyrite to be a brassy, golden metallic sparkly material which shows as wonderful, unique specks in these Rondelles which in turn perfectly permeates the rich blue background giving this awesome speckled effect. If you didn’t already know, this feature is a good one where Lapis Lazuli is concerned as often, dyed Howlite is passed off as Lapis but of course, that doesn’t have these wonderful inclusions!
