Our stunning Hypersthene Slices measure approximately 8 x 2mm and come on a whopping 38cm Strand (with small spacers). What we love about these Slices is that they can be used as the main event or even as spacers themselves alongside larger Beads. Gemmology Facts:

Hypersthene tend to display colours of brown, green or grey with a vitreous to pearly luster. On certain surfaces a beautiful copper-red metallic sheen can be revealed. This sheen is of the same origin as the bronzy sheen of bronzite.

Hypersthene Gemstones consist of magnesium and iron silicate. This Gemstone is commonly found as foliated masses embedded in igneous rocks and some stony or iron metamorphic rocks.

Hypersthene can be found in Labrador and Quebec in Canda and the Adirondack Mountains of New York.

Crystal Healing Properties:

Did you know the name Hypersthene is an amalgamation of two Greek words – “hyper”, meaning above, and “stonos”, which means power? When combined, meaning Over-strengthen – very apt for such as powerful healing stone. Hypersthene is part of the Enstatite Family of Gemstones.

The pattern is thought to be created by minute tabular scales of Brookite (silver-coloured shiny lines), which in itself is a powerful high vibration Stone. This amazing Crystal is 50% iron which makes it a very grounding and settling crystal to use in healing.

Hypersthene is a protective and balancing stone whereby the black of the stone absorbs negative energies whilst the silver deflects energies that drag us down, so it counteracts gloominess and those glum feelings. For example, if we are hectic, this protective Stone can help take the edge off (so does a nice cup of tea and a chat with your best friend we find!). Unless during that chat we are dragged into somebody else’s drama, in that case, Hypersthene removes irritations and annoyances!
